A dog-eared Dakota Arms model 10.

An old hand to the game fields scattered about the world this little rifle has accounted for a great many heads of game. The colors on the action are fast fading and the barrel has been disrespected from more than one saddle scabbard with the 20” scratches to prove it. The stock is even looking a little dark from sweat and blood, and my God is it ever beautiful for it, she’s NO ‘safe-queen’, she’s a killer. In addition, she is notably accurate for a hunting rifle and could often run in the company of some target rifles. Chambered in the old 270 win, which will still get the job done, and done correctly; it will toss five 140g fail safes into a 3/8” ctc group and often smaller! It also loves 150 partitions and has been known to shoot them under 2 inches at 350 yards (photo to the left). Not bad for a little six pound hunting rifle.
